What is included when I take my puppy home?

Your Gypsy Coach puppy comes with veterinary records, initial vaccinations, a starter bag of premium puppy food, a blanket with their mother’s scent, and a favorite toy to help them transition comfortably to their new home.

At what age can I bring my puppy home?

Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes at around 9 weeks old. This ensures they are well-socialized and have received their initial veterinary care.

What food do you recommend for my puppy?

We suggest a high-quality, large-breed puppy formula for Bernese Mountain Dogs and a balanced small-to-medium breed formula for Mini Bernese. Specific recommendations will be provided upon adoption.

How do I prepare for my puppy’s arrival?

Start by gathering essentials such as a kennel, food and water bowls, a comfortable bed, and puppy-safe toys. Scheduling a vet visit and setting up a dedicated puppy area in your home can also help with the transition.

What grooming needs should I expect?

Both Bernese and Mini Bernese have double coats that require weekly brushing to prevent matting and reduce shedding. Regular nail trims, ear cleaning, and occasional baths are also important.

How much exercise does a Bernese or Mini Bernese need?

Bernese Mountain Dogs benefit from moderate daily exercise, such as walks or play sessions, while Mini Bernese thrive on similar activity but with slightly less intensity due to their smaller size. Avoid strenuous exercise for puppies under 18 months.

What health screenings do your puppies receive?

Our puppies are checked for common genetic conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, heart issues, and eye health. They also receive regular deworming and vaccinations as per veterinary guidelines.

Do you offer training support or recommendations?

Yes, we provide resources and recommendations for basic training and socialization to help you raise a well-behaved and confident puppy.

What is the temperament of a Mini Bernese compared to a Bernese Mountain Dog?

Mini Bernese are known for their playful and affectionate nature, blending the loyal traits of a Bernese Mountain Dog with the sweet temperament of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
