Our Breeds

  • Bernese Mountain Dog

    The Bernese Mountain Dog is a large, powerful breed known for their calm and friendly temperament. Originally from the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, these dogs were bred to be versatile farm dogs, assisting with herding, carting, and drafting. They are known for their strength, intelligence, and loyalty, making them excellent companions and working dogs.

    The Mini Bernese Mountain Dog, also known as the Mini Berner, is a smaller version of the Bernese Mountain Dog. They inherit the gentle and loving nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog, combined with a compact size that makes them an ideal choice for families with limited space or
    those looking for a smaller companion.

Our Breeding Program

At Gypsy Coach Bernese, we have a unique breeding program that
focuses on creating healthy, well-adjusted Bernese Mountain Dogs and
Mini Bernese Mountain Dogs that make exceptional family pets. We prioritize the health of our dogs and puppies, ensuring they receive proper nutrition, exercise, and veterinary care. Our dogs undergo thorough health testing before being added to our breeding program, and we carefully select breeding pairs based on their temperament, health, and conformation.

To provide the best possible environment for our dogs, we partner with dedicated guardian families who love and care for them as if they were their own pets. This program allows our dogs to experience a loving home environment while not being actively bred. When the time comes for our dogs to be part of our breeding program, they return to Gypsy Coach Bernese to continue their role in our program.

To become a guardian family, you'll need to complete an application and interview process, ensuring that our dogs will be well-cared for and safe in your home. We have specific safety criteria that must be met, and all guardian families must be within a maximum distance of 2 hours from our home in Cuba City, Wisconsin. By working together, we can provide the best possible care and loving homes for our Bernese Mountain Dogs and Mini Bernese Mountain Dogs.
